Acoustic Rock For College Activities

Indian Summer Jars, with Sarah King and Sarah Beth started out separately as solo singer/songwriters. After meeting and becoming friends, they decided that tow heads are better than one and better yet, two Sarah's! Their collection of over two hundred original songs have a campfire feel with something elemental like carbon or ash residing in them. They are intimate, holding the listener like a flame holds a wick. The music itself is able to pick through the forest of the human mind. The forests we never know until we enter them. Their sound is like an interval or reprieve in the din and clutter of our high-paced lifestyles. Each note remains singular in its timbre, overflowing with creative tunings and innovative progressions. Sarah and Sarah have a deep rooted love for sound which shows up in their all original powerful songs. Indian Summer Jars album, Similar has sixteen tracks that drive them forward. They playing main stage at festivals. 2008 included Friendship Fest (DE), The Little Buffalo Arts Festival (PA), and Ripefest (PA) and Rehoboth Beach Singer Songwriter showcase, hosted by Atticus Entertainment, 2007. Ripe's performances are always a truly unique and original experience. They provide you with satisfaction on so many levels. The band's style has a broad range of appeal, as they play an extensive list of original songs possessing a great range of musical depth, while also throwing in some of their own versions of classic songs. Ripe tends to craft songs from small riffs on the harmonica or violin to extensive bass lines that drive the funk right through you. A gritty guitar rhythm or subtle scale on the melodica often lead to a funked out organ or a pounding beat. Each instrument comes together to not clog the musical drain but to let it flow effortlessly. Ripe is a must see act, so don't miss the show! Ripe EPK
